Family-based childcare is a great option for families who value a nurturing, home-like setting with personalized care and flexibility. It’s especially beneficial for children who thrive in smaller, more intimate environments. Here are some reasons why families might choose this type of childcare:

  • Home-Like Environment: Our childcare takes place in a home setting, which can feel more familiar and comforting for children, especially younger ones. The smaller, cozier environment can ease the transition from home to childcare.
  • Individualized Attention: With typically smaller group sizes, we provide more personalized care and focus on each child’s unique needs and development.
  • Consistency: Children often build close, long-term relationships with their caregiver, which fosters emotional security and stability.
  • Lower Child-to-Adult Ratios: Smaller groups mean fewer children per provider, allowing for better supervision and care.
  • Mixed Age Groups: Our childcare setting includes children of various ages, which can help siblings stay together and allow younger children to learn from older peers.
  • Less Exposure to Illness: Fewer children in a smaller setting may reduce exposure to common illnesses compared to larger daycare facilities.

What is your working schedule?

The Little Stars open from Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5.30 PM.

Do you provide references?

Of course! We’ve been caring for local children since 2007, and many of the little ones who started with us as infants are now thriving high schoolers or even heading off to college! Over the years, we’ve built strong relationships with families, and we’re proud to have a number of references who can share their positive experiences with you.

What do I need to send to the daycare with my child?

Parents are responsible for supplying:

  • Prepared Bottles, Baby Food for children up to 12 months old.
  • Diapers.
  • Indoor shoes and a full change of clothing (3 for infants & toddlers).
  • Sunscreen and bug spray.

Do you provide meals for children?

Yes, each day we provide three home-made nutritious and well-balanced meals, including morning breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. The meals and snacks for each day constantly vary in order to ensure the children receive the best possible nutrition to help them grow up strong and healthy and to establish healthy eating habits for life.

Do you provide special diets for children?

If the typical type of meals we serve do not meet your criteria for whatever reason, such as any particular dietary needs or having allergies, child’s meals and snacks will have to be provided by the parent.

How do you communicate with parents?

We believe that open and consistent communication is essential for building strong relationships with our families. Parents are always welcome to reach out via phone, email, text, or in person with any questions or concerns. We keep parents informed through the following methods:

Daily Updates: Parents receive daily reports detailing their child’s activities, meals, and naps
Digital Communication: We use email to send updates, photos, and reminders.
Our goal is to maintain a strong partnership with parents by ensuring they feel informed and involved in their child’s care and development.

What if someone other than my spouse, partner, or I needs to pick up my child?

To ensure your child’s safety, we require that at enrollment you provide the name(s) of any individual authorized to pick up your child. If someone outside your immediate family needs to pick up your child, you must notify us in advance. You must contact us via cell phone for confirmation. We will call you and verify their identity by checking their identification upon arrival. Your child’s safety is our top priority, and we appreciate your cooperation in following these procedures.

What types of activities do you offer for infants and toddlers?

What is your Illness policy?

This policy is implemented to ensure the safety and well-being of the other children in the Daycare. The child has to be kept home with the following symptoms:
